About Me
I first knew I was going to be a writer in third grade. I wrote a limerick as part of a poetry class. That's all it took. I was hooked. And before you ask (you were going to ask, weren't you??): Yes, I still remember the limerick: There once was a mouse named Lee, who happened to drink some tea. He found it quite sweet, so with his little feet, up in the cup jumped he! When I was in sixth grade, I had a wonderful English teacher. She used to read aloud to us several times a week. One of the books she read that stayed with me through the years was Tomorrow's Children, a collection of science fiction/fantasy stories edited by Isaac Asimov. That book made such an impression on me that, as an adult, I searched everywhere to find a copy. Sadly, the book is no longer in print. I finally found one not too long ago and paid a collector's price tag for it. But I consider it money well-spent. That book is where my love of fantasy writing first took root. |
