A Thorny Subject

Even Roses Have Thorns, thumbnailJust a note for those of you who so kindly inquire about my art, I've posted a few new images in the gallery at The Enchanted Garret, including this one in thumbnail version on the right. It's called "Even Roses Have Thorns," and is one I'm particularly fond of these days...for various reasons. Hope you enjoy it.

On Trees, and Ducks, and Other Things

I'm inaugurating The Enchanted Garret's new blog by calling your attention to the tree picture on your right. This is an actual tree in the yard of the new home my husband and I moved into this past November. Since I'm an inveterate tree lover, I was quite happy to discover that our new home has its own tree guardian. And I like him so much, friendly guy that he is with his arm raised in perpetual greeting, that I decided he should stand guard over this blog, too. May he keep the trolls and blog spammers away forever. Amen. :)

Speaking of pictures, some of you may know that I'm a fractal artist, mainly working in the digital realm. But I have a frustrated traditional painter hidden in my soul and I sometimes find myself trying to "paint" a fractal into a landscape or a still life or some other realistic scene. This particular one is called "Duck on Canvas." He doesn't fit in any of my galleries, but I like him, and so he's here.

Welcome to our new blog and thanks for stopping by.
